$2.8 million Powerball ticket sold at Southern California store

A lucky ticket buyer in Southern California has won a whopping $2.8 million after matching all five numbers in the recent Powerball drawing! The big win was announced earlier this week, and officials are still searching for the winner.

According to reports, the winning ticket was purchased at a convenience store in Orange County, where the winner likely did their shopping without realizing they were playing for millions. Officials say the ticket was bought as part of an automatic subscription, which means the buyer didn't even have to remember to check their numbers!

The Powerball drawing took place on Saturday evening, and it's still unclear when or if the winner will come forward. Until then, officials are urging the lucky winner to sign the back of the ticket and keep it safe.
