Cheers to Alysha Corrigan and Team Canada who competed against the best teams in the world and earned a silver medal at the Women’s Rugby World Cup in London.

Coming into the Allianz Stadium with a 5-0 win-loss record to face the home team, England Roses, Canada knew the competition was going to be tough.

Corrigan told The Guardian ahead of the game, “They’re playing at home.

We know a lot of pressure’s on them.

So, we’re just going out there and going to put on a performance that we’re proud of.” The Charlottetown athlete, who was a key contributor to the Canadian women’s 7s rugby team which also earned silver at the Paris Olympics, knows all about grace under pressure and earning a spot on the world stage.
